SMETA Certification – With retailers, consumers and governments increasingly concerned about ethical and social standards, SMETA certification takes on an even more important role, as it enables organizations of any size, sector or geography to demonstrate that they are operating ethically. It is the most commonly used Ethics Audit in the world and covers four pillars: labor standards, health and safety, business ethics, and the environment; it also audits performance with regard to immigrant workers’ right to work, management systems, implementation, subcontracting, work from home, and environmental issues.
