In 2011 Italstick has been certified chain of custody according to the standard FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council® – which guarantees the origin of the raw materials from responsibly managed forests from an environmental, economic and social point of view and monitor the traceability of same during the whole production process.
This is for us a formal recognition that rewards the business path in the search for new solutions in terms of responsible development. And it is an absolute added value for our customers, who can communicate the environmental sensitivity by putting the FSC logo on the printed creation, without increasing the costs or compromising the quality of the finished product. EC Regulation no. 1907/2006 – REACH provides for the assessment of the properties of different chemicals to identify the risks associated with health and the environment and ensures that the relevant information is communicated to suppliers, customers and users of the products.
In line with its principles on environmental responsibility, Italstick adopts a proactive approach towards law compliance, especially with regard to health and environment. Italstick works closely with its supply chain to ensure continuous compliance with the requirements of the Regulation “REACH”.

SMETA Certification With retailers, consumers and governments increasingly concerned about ethical and social standards, SMETA is becoming an even more essential as a way for organisations to prove they are working in an ethical manner, irrespective of size, sector or geography. It is the world’s most commonly used ethical audit format and covers four pillars: labour standards, health and safety, business ethics and the environment, also review performance against the right to work of migrant workers, management systems and implementation, sub-contracting and home working and environmental issues.
